Active Defender and Active Alert apps are provided as Free apps on the app store. These apps are provided at no cost and are intended for use as is. This page is used to inform visitors regarding policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use my Service.
NO user data is REQUIRED to use the Active Defender mobile app. Your campus admin can create a random username and password to allow you access without anything being directly related to you. One can also use a TEMP login where you create your own login name.
Note that by default GPS is NOT required for use with the Active Defender mobile. But you can can opt-in to share your GPS location.
If you do choose to share any data, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that is collected is used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.
The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions, which is accessible at Active Defender unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy.
Information Collection and Use
For a better experience, while using our Service, we may provide you an opportunity to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to Device ID, GPS location. The information that we request will be retained on your device and is not collected by us in any way.
IF you choose to receive notifications, the app does use third party services that may collect information used to identify the device.

We want to inform you that whenever you use the Service, in the case of an error in the app it collects data and information (through third party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing my Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.

Generally speaking, we retain the SDK Information and Website Information for as long as necessary to achieve our objectives as detailed in this Privacy Policy and to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.

We have administrative, technical, and physical safeguards in place in our physical facilities and in our computer systems, databases, and communications networks that are designed to protect information contained within our systems from loss, misuse, or alteration. Our Service is provided, supported and hosted in the United States, and our operation of them is governed by United States law.
